This is my solution to the YCN Boost sport drink brief. In keeping with Boost’s ongoing humorous approach to the soft drinks market I decided to create these three adverts. Instead of taken the well trodden path of physical enhancement I have chosen to imply that this sports drink will aid you in other, alternative ways.

World Music magazine spreads

We were given a brief to design 2 double page spreads for a world music magazine. My solution was to produce these clear, varied spreads on the Mail based artists Amadou and Mariam.

College interior signage brief

We were set a brief by the Telford College’s principle to brighten up the interior and improve the signage and wayfinding throughout the college.

I drew inspiration from the Madrid based, contemporary street artist El Tono and the Madrid metro map. I realized that they were both colourful, linear, simple and minimal.

In my opinion my solution answers the brief and offer a clear, colourful and practical way to navigate around the building. It could be achieved with vinyl or paint.

Monster Munch ad campaign

We were given a brief to create an advertising campaign for Monster Munch crisps. As required we designed 2 posters as well as a form of direct mail.

The idea is that not everyone likes Monster Munch at first, but eventually they will try them again and begin to like them. That is why our strapline is “Get them before they get you”. In the posters we see the pink monster of the famous Monster Munch group creeping up on the unsuspecting guy, wanting to be liked.

Evolve

We were give a brief to design a corporate logo. We had a 3 day timescale and were given one word each, mines was Evolve.

My design is based on the theory of evolution. In my logo the E is depicted as evolving into something greater and stronger. This is represented with the E becoming larger and bolder.

This would be perfect for a company wanting to represent itself as being dynamic and continually growing and developing.

Park brief

This was my solution to the brief we were given that required us raise the awareness of the public to their local green spaces.

After coming across so much authoritarian, two-dimensional, negative signage I thought I would create a more positive , three dimensional set of signs. The idea is that the plus signs would have solar panels on top and bulbs inside, to light them up at night a reinforce the positive and safe feeling of the park.
